The Assisted Reproductive Technology (Regulation) Act, 2022 regulates the process of IVF ( In-vitro Fertilisation ) - a technique that helps to overcome fertility issues. During this process, the commissioning couple approaches the fertility clinics where the EGG of a woman is retrieved from commissioning woman’s ovaries and fertilized with commissioning man’s sperm, in a laboratory. The fertilized egg, called an EMBRYO, is then transplanted in commissioning woman’s womb.
